Valved or open bag filling machines

Main brands:

Valved or open bag filling machines
1. What they are for:

Measuring machines: They are used to measure and fill bags with a precise amount of product, such as grains, powders or liquids.

Sealing machines: They are used to close the bags, ensuring that the product is protected and has a preserved shelf life.

2. How they work:

Measuring machines: They can use different dosing mechanisms, such as scales, augers (for powders and granules) or pumps (for liquids). The product is fed into the machine and, depending on the dosing system, is transferred to the bag.

Sealing machines: They usually use heat (impulse or continuous sealers) to melt the edges of the bag and close it hermetically. There are also mechanical sealers that use pressure to close.

3. Types:

Measuring machines:

Volumetric: They measure the volume of the product.

Weighing: They use scales to dose by weight.

Gravimetric: They control the dosage by gravity.

Sealers:

Impulse: Seal bags from a heated bar.

Continuous: Maintain a constant sealing flow for high production.

Valves: Specific for valve bags, allowing air to escape while keeping the product inside.

4. Differences between valve bags and open bags:

Valve bags: Have a valve that allows air to escape during filling, preventing moisture and contamination from entering. They are ideal for bulk products, such as animal feed and cement.

Open bags: Do not have valves and are sealed manually or mechanically after filling. Used for products that do not require strict air or moisture control.

5. Automatic and semi-automatic options:

Automatic: Integrate dosing, filling and sealing in a single process, with high efficiency and less human intervention. They are ideal for high-capacity production lines.

Semi-automatic: Require some manual intervention, such as positioning the bag. They are flexible and more economical, suitable for smaller or varied productions.
These machines are essential to ensure efficiency, precision and safety in product packaging. If you need more details about any specific aspect, just let us know!
